Mamma went shopping for sewing machines and sergers

Does anyone know much about the Brother Innovis NV900D Sewing Machine and the Bernina 1300DC serger?

Brother Innov-is NV900D: 67 Stitch Sewing, 105 Designs Embroidery Disney Pixar Machine 900D, 6 Fonts, USB & Card Ports, 4x4"Hoop,10 x 1Step BHs,Trimmer

Bernina 1300DC serger: An excellent overlock machine with a solid track record, the Bernina 1300DC is a four-thread serger with a choice of four coverstitches. These coverstitches work well for applying elastics, hemming knits, edge finishing, sewing stretch lace, and creating the other decorative seams expected of a good quality serger. Use this machine with 2, 3, or 4 threads and create up to 24 different stitches for a myriad of uses. Complete with an LCD screen, Bernina's serger model offers tips and instructions for setting up many serging and overlocking operations.

I think the serger is top on my list; however, the sewing machine comes with all kinds of cool Disney patterns. I found the serger for $1200 and the sewing machine for $699 +$1000 for the specialized software (Brother PE Design 8.0). I'm hoping to find a used serger like this one that has a coverstitch...any suggestions?
